Thelma Louise

Friday Night At The Movies With A Friend
Sheila liked shopping online. Her favorite place to buy movies was named shwemyanmar. They sold many things in addition to movies. Sometimes she ordered DVDs of TV shows she liked. She told Angie to shop there when she had the chance to spend time on the internet. Angie knew movies were her favorite thing in the world. She ordered a lot of DVD and watched some of them three times.
Angie was well aware that Sheila shopped too much. She owned many movies and CDs. She bought way too many of both. She owned even more clothes. She planned to ask her to show off her most recent purchases when they had a sleepover that night.
They were both interested in looking fashionable like all young women looking for men. They went out to the clubs sometimes. They spent time talking about the actors they liked as they walked home to Sheilas house. The new vampire movies were some of their favorites. They were fans of American Idol and watched Dancing With the Stars on TV. They were glad when Kirstie Ally won that competition. She always had a weight problem, but lost a lot before going on the show.
As they got into their lounging pajamas, they talked about the waiter who had been fun to talk to in Kuala Lumpur. It would have been exciting to do some dating Malaysia while they were on the trip to that country last year. The beauty of the rainforest had impressed them with its many flowers and exotic birds.
Talking about him, they were both impressed by his ability to speak English. His accent sounded very sexy. He was raised in the large city of Kuala Lumpur where they were enjoying dinner. They learned from the tour guide it was the largest city in Malaysia.
In Malaysia the government is considered democratic. It is also ruled by a king. His palace is an architectural wonder. Unfortunately, they were not allowed to see the inside. They took quite a few pictures in to document their trip, including one of them standing in front of the palace. Both women agreed it was a fantastic trip.
They arrived home to Sheilas house where they were having a sleepover. Making some popcorn, they settled in the living room to watch movies. Tonight would be Johnny Depp. It was always fun to chat while they watched Captain Jack Sparrow cavort across the screen. They ended up watching two of his pirate movies before they fell asleep on the couch.

Thelma & Louise [VHS] $2.98 Thelma & Louise is a feminist manifesto writ large on the big screen, a smart and funny gender reversal of the standard Hollywood buddy formula, a road movie extraordinaire, with characters who became instant cultural icons. No matter how you define it, Ridley Scott’s 1991 box-office hit pinched a nerve and made the cover of national news magazines for tweaking gender politics like no movie before… |

Reap the Wild Wind [VHS] $4.94 John Wayne was in the early stages of superstardom when this lavish Cecil B. DeMille adventure was produced in 1942, so it’s interesting to see the Duke in a heroic supporting role as opposed to the commanding one. Here he’s on equal footing with Ray Milland in the romantic lead; they play a pair of dashing yet wildly different characters who’ve both fallen for a feisty Southern belle played by P… |
