Matthew Morrison Makes Good

Who the heck is Matthew Morrison?

Golden Globe nominations for 2010 have been announced, and there are a few unfamiliar names among them. Take Matthew Morrison, for instance. Glee fans, no doubt, would recognize the name Will Schuester, the teacher responsible for William McKinley Highs glee club.

Matthew Morrison is the actor who plays Will, and Broadway aficionados probably recognize his name. He has had small parts in feature films and other television shows, but Will Schuester is the first recurring role on a television series hes had since he played Adam Munson on the soap opera As the World Turns.

A word from Matthew Morrison

While you can get instant approval for online payday loans nowadays, Matthew Morrison traveled a lengthy road to stardom. Besides being in several Off-Broadway productions before getting roles on Broadway, he went through 10 years of bit parts on TV and film before landing the role of Will Schuester.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Matthew Morrison said Glee creator Ryan Murphy had sent him a text message that said You realize youre a huge star now, right? Morrison says he hadnt really processed that yet.

Another Glee nominee

Matthew Morrison was nominated for Best Actor in a Television Series, Comedy or Musical, and the female lead on Glee was nominated for the actress equivalent. Other women up for a Golden Globe in the same category as Lea Michele are Tina Fey, Courney Cox, Toni Collette, and Edie Falco.

Her role on “Glee” makes for a smashing debut for Lea Michele on TV, and she’s garnered quite the buzz. Since she landed the gig with “Glee,” along with getting a nom for a Golden Globe, she has been on “The Tyra Banks Show,” “Late Show with David Letterman,” “Entertainment Tonight,” and “Rachael Ray.

A box-office smash in England, About a Boy went on to charm the world as another fine adaptation (following High Fidelity) of a popular Nick Hornby novel. While High Fidelity transplanted its London charm to Chicago, this irresistible comedy was directed by Americans Chris and Paul Weitz (American Pie) with its British pedigree intact. Better yet, Hugh Grant is perfectly cast as Will, a self-absor…
