How much weight is too much to lift during pregnancy?

My daughter weighs 35 pounds, is that too much weight to be lifting during pregnancy? I am about 6 months pregnant. I know its best to avoid lifting heavy objects but how much weight is too much?

My doctor told me no more then 25 pounds, and to make sure I bent my knees while lifting of course. Having said that, I didn’t have a child to take care of…I think if you lift properly occasionally isn’t going to be a problem. I would talk to your doctor about it though, to be sure.

Edit: Wow, from everyone elses responses I need to get a new doctor. It is a good thing I didn’t lift anything heavy while I was pregnant at all.
