How do I make a DVD to show my family tree?

My homework is to make a family tree. I have decided on a DVD but i don’t know how to do it on either Picasa 3 or Windows movie maker. Any tips

i would use windows movie maker, basically get a big collection of photographs of your family and create a kind of slide show, start with you, then your parents, then go off on branches each side maybe? you can put titles and captions over or before each picture, if you have video of your family maybe include that as well? or film them introducing themselves and edit it together?

if you go with just the pictures you can put an audio track on as well, maybe rather than having captions you could record a voiceover?
