If you run into any kinds of units such as Thors, Immortals, or packs of Zerglings, then you should back away and bring in some other units.  Packs of Zerglings will quickly swarm your Siege Tanks and can quickly make you lose a ton of resources that you’ve put into them.  Protect your Siege Tanks well and use them properly.  Watch out for Banshees as well, as they can be pretty destructive against your highly expensive Siege Tanks.

Early in the game get your Barracks and Orbital Command up as fast as possible without completely destroying your economy.  Get 3 more Barracks and 2 supply depots in anticipation of building up a high number of military units.

Then, build a Refinery as fast as possible and get a Factory with a Tech Lab on it.

Upgrade your tanks with Siege Technology and attack your enemy from range with your Siege Tanks.  Aim for defensive buildings and also try to wipe out a bunch of their harvesters, and make sure you protect them with your Marines.
