What the hell is the meaning or message behind the orgy scene in Eyes Wide Shut?

Can anyone explain to me what their interpretation of the orgy scene in Eyes Wide Shut is? Or even Kubrick’s intended message? I’m just fascinated, not so much by the scene itself, but by the question of whether there’s anything more than the obvious to it, the obvious being in my mind “how hot would it be to completely lose your inhibitions like that”.

No message. Just an accurate depiction of what might happen at an upscale S&M part.
