Should I purchase a new graphics card to properly display my Starlogic HD20W widescreen monitor?

The factory recommended settings for my widescreen (20 inch) Starlogic HD20W screen should be 1680 x 1050. However that is not one of the options offered by by current graphics card, NVIDIA GEFORCE MX 440.
My thinking is to buy a video card that can support my monitor. Is this the right solution?

Try updating to the latest driver. It should support some widescreen display modes then. If not, you may need to buy a slightly newer PCI or AGP card if you desire a widescreen native resolution. Try Ebay – new is terribly expensive.
