Are you allowed to pump your own gas in your state?

I understand in some states like NJ, you have to be waited on by an attendant and it is illegal to pump your own gas. Gee, remember the old days when you even got your windshield cleaned?

Really? I never heard of that. Here in Wisconsin, you can pump your own. We do have a few full service stations–it’s nice once and awhile to go there. They check your oil, wash the windows etc
